Exporting Designs

Updated: 01-20-2024
We have added a feature to allow you to export designs to .json and .obj file types. This is primarily centered around Windows users, so it may not work on Linux builds.

Exporting Your Design

If you want to export your design, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the voxel editor and load in a design.

Step 2.1: Click File in the top left.
Step 2.2: Click Export Design.
Step 2.3: Choose .json or .obj format.

Seeing Your Design

If you want to see your design in Blender, follow these steps:

Step 1: Download and open Blender.

Step 2: To import your design, click File > Import > .Obj and select the design you just exported from World to Build.

Step 3: Click the icon shown below to display viewport shading. Your voxel design will look a little funny at this point, but we'll tell you how to fix it in the next step.

Step 4.1: Click the object name in the top right of Blender, and select Default (see below).
Step 4.2: Click the red material icon at the bottom of the pane that appears (see below).
Step 4.3: Click the dropdown arrow next to base color (see below).
Step 4.4: Change first field to Closest (see below).
